"We worked with Cindy who helped us buy our new home. We met/interviewed several agents but went with Cindy b/c a) she seemed knowledgable b) wasn't pushy c) was clear about her process; and d) got a positive referral about her from a work colleague. she seemed more knowledgable about MD and DC, but we also looked at a few homes in VA with her. Working w/Cindy was terrific. We were first time home-buyers so Cindy patiently walked us through the homebuying process. We had a lot of questions, but she never appeared annoyed and almost always responded back to messages the same day (either phone or e-mail). To give one anecdote about what it's like to work w/Cindy, on the day of settlement, Cindy stopped by our home for a final check (we had already done the final walk-thru a few days earlier together). She noticed after a night of torrential rains water had leaked (something which wasn't apparent during the home inspection) and immediately gave me a call as I was driving to settlement. Fortunately, we were able to work out a settlement w/the sellers (who had already moved out) to have the sellers cover all the damage and repairs but still go ahead w/settlement later that day. Cindy of course contacted the inspectors, seller's agent etc...to have the problem resovled. If Cindy hadn't done that last minute check herself (or had it not rained) we would've wounded up w/a big headache. Even after settlement, she followed up w/us several times to make sure the roofers had completed their job and the blinds replaced.
